Odd Fit

Low rating is due to odd fit. Chaps themselves are beautiful; nice weight, excellent quality, beautiful detailing, & a surprise zip out quilted lining that I didn't see in description on this item. My thigh is exactly 20.5 w/jeans so I ordered sm. Will have to wait until they stretch a bit to be able to have quilted lining in as they run a bit small. I'm quite straight thru the waist & hips but I still wear a sz4 jean so figured sm would fit fine. WRONG! If you loosen them @ the eyelets to extend the waist to the limit listed, it turns the right leg so that zipper & trim is running almost down center back of leg??Then the buckle does up way over to the left front.If you have the tiniest waist listed they might end up in the proper position. I'm crafty so I was able to make a back waist insert out of what was cut off the length of my old chaps (sz x-sm) and put eyelets in both ends and then lace it to each end of the waist so I have 2 sets of eyelets & lacing on the back towards the sides.The waist on new chaps if you don't overlap eyelets but just bring ends together is a full 6 1/2" shorter than old chaps. W/insert I use last notch in belt now & buckle is centered & leg zippers are on sides as they should be. Be forwarned unless you have tiny waist or are crafty.
